all have direct flights to Santiago (the Chilean capital) from Dallas, Atlanta and Miami respectively. You can connect through one of these three cities from anywhere in North America. U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport to enter Chile.
LAN Chile has three direct
45-minute flights a day from the

We'll pick you up at the La Serena airport for the 45-minute drive to the house.

Car
Both
Avis and
Hertz
have booths at the La Serena airport and you can book on line. If you prefer to rent from a local agency (less convenient but more economical) let us know and we'll
help you make the arrangements. In either case, you'll need an International Driver's Permit, which you can get for a nominal fee at your local
AAA in the U.S. No test is required, just bring your local license and two passport-type photos (which they can even take on the spot for an additional charge.)
